Jim Cambareri passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the age of 80. He was a devoted husband, dad and Papa who adored his family. He was born on July 14, 1944, in Queens, New York to James and Josephine Cambareri.
Jim was a US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam from 1965-1966. Soon after coming home, he began his 30-year career in the Tele-communications industry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maryann Cambareri and his son, James Christopher Cambareri (wife, Anka Milin) daughter Christine Marie Cambareri and his 4 adored grandchildren, Skylar, Andrew, Gabriella and Sammy. Jim is predeceased by his father and mother, James and Josephine Cambareri and older brother Rocco Cambareri.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Branch Funeral Home, Smithtown, NY. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11:15am at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Smithtown, NY. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to friends and family for their support and care during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jim’s name to a Veteran Service Organization of your choosing.
