Doris Marie Tangel, age 99, of Ridge, New York died Friday, May 21, 2021. Doris was born May 7, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York. She is the daughter of the late Morris and the late Margaret (Campbell) Lynch. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Tangel in 1987. She was employed by Middle Country School District as a Teacher. She is survived by her loving children, Patricia Abbatiello of Wading River, New York, Margaret Sagristano of Jackson, New Jersey, Maureen Friedman of Shoreham, New York, Michael Tangel of St. James, New York, Joseph Tangel of Shoreham, New York, Philip Tangel of Garden City, New York and Robert Tangel of Westport, Connecticut. She is also the cherished grandmother of twelve grandchildren and eleven precious great grandchildren. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 25, 2021at St. Mark's RC Church, 105 Randall Road, Shoreham, New York. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York. Visiting hours will be Monday, May 24, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. As per the family's request, New York State and CDC guidelines for social distancing will be followed. Masks must be worn.
