Richard F. Gendron, age 83, of Ridge, NY died Thursday, January 29, 2015. Richard was born April 4, 1931 in Troy, NY. He is the son of the late Eugene F. and the late Rena (Hunter) Gendron. He served in the Army during the the Korean Conflict. He was the recipient of the Korean SVC Medal W/3 Bronze Stars, United Nations SVC Medal and the Presidential Unit Citation. He was employed by BAE in Syosset, NY as a Traffic Manager. He is survived by his beloved wife Dolores Gendron (nee Geldmacher). His children, Kathryn Leogrande of Glen Head, NY, Joan Flanagan (Robert) of Georgia, Eugene Gendron (Geri) of Holbrook, NY and Keith Gendron of East Islip, NY. He is also survived by five cherished grandchildren. Services will be held, 10:00 am on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the Rocky Point Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. Visiting hours will be Sunday, February 1, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
