Virginia Parker, age 57, of Cary, NC and formerly of Rocky Point & Hicksville, died Sunday, March 1, 2015. Born August 26, 1957 in Mineola, NY, she was the daughter of the late Waldemar and the late Virginia (Lorch) Mickelson. She was a Pediatric CNA and owned Miss Virginia's Family Day Care. She is survived by her loving son: Jesse Richard Parker of Johnson City, NY, her spouse, Richard Parker of Cary, NC and sister and brother in law, Elzabeth & Thomas Boland of Huntington, NY. A Private Cremation has been arranged by family. Calling hours will be Friday, March 6 from 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Rocky Point Funeral Home. www.rockypointfuneralhome.com. Gin, now more than ever, you are an inspiration. Through the last several years I have known you, I have seen your strengths, talents, humor, and wisdom blossom. From our conversations of men, music, concerts, traveling/vacation, to going to school, working with clients, to the topics of health, wellness and healing… I was so proud to see you live life! I can still hear you laugh, and set anyone straight who is a big pain in the a**! I continually wish you love, peace, serenity and joy. You are free now; dance, sing, laugh and most of all, fly sister.
