Edward J. Watson

Edward J. Watson, age 89, of Ridge, NY, died Thursday, August 13, 2015. Born April 3, 1926 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick and the late Minnie (Seebeck) Watson. He served in the Navy during World War II from 06/17/1943 to 03/20/1946. He was employed by Local 638, NYC, NY, as a Steam Fitter. He is survived by his beloved wife: Gertrude M.(Bukowski) Watson , loving daughters: Linda Bruderer of Middle Island, NY, Patty (Kenneth) Snopkowski of Farmingville, NY, Judy L. Martin (Gerard) of Farmingville, NY, son: Mickey D. Watson of Coram, NY, brother: Frederick Watson, and 5 cherished Grandchildren: Christopher, Robert, Steven, Samantha & Michael. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Monday, August 17 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point. Burial will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton. Calling hours will be Sunday, August 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
