Tim has been one of my dearest friends and prayer partners since 1997 when my wife and I moved to Port Jefferson Station, NY. Before I really knew who he was he volunteered to paint the inside of our new home. From that time he became, as it were, part of our family. Together, we learned to laugh about things that were “pitiful,” We loved the Word of God together, and have kept in on-gong communication since moving to the mountains of Western North Carolina.
I had the privilege of getting to know Tim’s brother Randy and his wife Debra. What a precious family the Rogans are! Though I’m not able to travel to NY for the memorial gathering, the feelings of my heart will be with each of you.
I wept on learning of Tim’s departure, but found my personal consolation in the assurance of knowing where he is now.

I was a lacrosse teammate of Tim’s in 1973 at Suffolk CC and it comes as no surprise to see condolences talking about his smile and humor which we all saw first-hand back in the day. He was a great lacrosse player and better teammate. God must have needed an attackman. With fond memories of times long past and deepest sympathy to the Rogan family.

I have been a lifelong friend of Janet & played Lacrosse n football w/ Timmy. Our last meeting was @ the Alumni Lacrosse game @ Comsewogue HS a few yrs ago.He was an amazing Athlete & role model for Us younger players.Always the Jokester in the locker room and easy to talk to.He was my friend. It’s never good to hear of these types of tragedies about people you grew up with.He & his smiling face will be missed. How fortunate you are to have had him as a brother. His life should be celebrated because he was such a good soul & kindred spirit.I’m proud to have know him and only saddened that he won’t be here to touch others..So Lori,my condolences to you & your family.I will keep all of you in my prayers….

Dear Rogan Family ,
What a beautiful tribute to your brother Tim. Both Helen and I want you to know how much we felt the power of your words . I thought of a couple of Tim – isms , how he displayed the content of his character . I remember as a kid , my mom was struggling to bring the groceries into our house and Tim was walking home, he gladly helped out w/o any opposition . A second time , of many, was when he worked with me as a punkey 7th grader at JFK, feeding me countless lacrosse balls, felt bad for the goalie , but kept shooting and listening to his valuable advice . A song I think is fitting for Tim, a Bob Dylan classic, ” Forever Young ” . RIP Tim and you will always stay forever young ! Great to see you all and what a great childhood we had on Greenhaven Drive ! So Tim , long may you run !! Bryan Savage
