  1. Really shocked by the news. I thought he was indestructible after a while. I will miss bantering with him both off and on the air and hearing his ribald radio stories off mic. He was one of the greats.

  2. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. .. Love and miss you all….. Cousin Candi, Vin, Nick & Doug. LOVE YOU MY GOD MOTHER. XXOO

  3. POLKA CUZZIN ED.
GOD SPEED…… YOU WILL ALWAYS BE MISSED, BUT NEVER
BE FORGOTTEN. HEAVEN GAINED A ANGEL WITH YOUR PASSING. WORDS
CAN NOT EXPRESS HOW YOU WILL BE MISSED. REST IN PEACE.,

  5. Sincere sympathy, thoughts, and prayers go out to Jeannette and Eddie’s entire family on his passing. Eddie was a true gentleman, fine musician, and he was a blessing to all who knew him. He was truly devoted to polka music and to all those in the industry. All of us in RBO will always remember him for his friendship, guidance, and loving support. Eddie will live on in our heart’s and will always remain a true source of inspiration of what it means to be a friend, what it means to be a fine musician, and what it means to have personal integrity. Eddie, we love you.

  6. On behalf of The Rich Bobinski Orchestra (RBO) Fan Club Members, we would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Dmuchowski Family on Eddie’s passing.

One of our members summed it up nicely when he said, “Some people make the world special, just by being in it….and Eddie was one of those people.”

    May he rest in peace.

  7. My family knew Ed Dmuchowski for what seems like forever. He was a great friend of my Dad (Leo Junda). After Dad passed in 1970, Eddie ran a benefit dance at the Port Jefferson Polish Club. Words at that time could not express how grateful we were to him Throughout the years Ed and Jeanette continued to be friends with Mom, Emilia Junda. He will be missed by all. Now he is up in heaven re-united with his many Polka friends. I can hear his accordion playing…. Deepest sympathies to all…..

  8. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pop Pop. He was a wonderful young man, great father and grandfather. We will miss him dearly, but we know he is and always will be with us. He was a strong man and his presence will never be absent as he is now a huge guardian angel looking down on us. We love you and miss you.

    Love,
    Stephanie and Drew Meyerowich

  9. To y great uncle eddie i love you so much you are now at peace and not in pain. Always in my heart

  10. To the Family of Edward (Eddie) Dmuchowski,

May the memories of the happy days with Ed bring years of smiles and help during the times of sadness. Many knew Eddie from different perspectives. Family life, business and music.

So many acknowledged Eddie for his love of music and culture. Even in frail health, he was feisty to carry on friendships and traditions-and lastly, not hold back his thoughts.

A long time good friendship in the “polka circle” that our family will surely miss.

    Rest in Peace!
    (NYPolka) Bob & Joan Petrowsky

  11. Eddie D was a great man. I knew he was close to God the first time I had the privilege of meeting him albeit over the phone many years ago. He always exuded a quality of love which was ethereal.
Eddie D provided me as an already established author with greater opportunities when he “took me on” as a contributing columnist for the POLAM World. From the few years I knew he and his “beloved bride” (as he always endearingly called Jeanette), my life enriched and blessed.
I am sure Eddie D is grandly missed by many. I know I miss him! Yet, I am certain that the heavens above are grander because Mr. Edward “D” has joined their ranks of musical angels.
    -Dr. Julie Grocki

  12. Rest in Peace, Eddie. You will be greatly missed. Great times & great memories with you, Aun Jeannette & my family!!!

  13. To the Dmuchowski Family,

Please accept my condolences on Eddie’s passing. I always enjoyed my conversations with him and will miss seeing him at various dances and functions. May he rest in peace.

  14. Eddie was a good guy. He liked his music and entertaining people. It was always easy working with Ed, Im sure Ed will find a keyboard or accordion and start a jam with other fellow musicians who have gone before him.

He can hand out the charts for the West Point Oberek. Let the music play on.

    Thanks for the memories Ed.

Our very best to the Dmuchowski family

  15. Dear Jeanette,

Now besides Kathy’s passing we have another sadness that bonds us. My husband, Andrew, passed away on February 27th. Richard called to tell me about Eddie. My deepest condolences. Because of his long friendship with my cousin, I had known Eddie (and Gerry) since I was a kid. He was always the life of the party and very much considered a family member. For the Polka community it’s the end of an era.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

    With love,
    Mary Jane

  16. Just found out about Edward’s passing. Our deepest sympathies are extended to you and your family from Krysia too.

  17. Didn’t know that Ed passed on. He was a very generous person, always giving of himself, his musical talent, his love of people. I guess the last time I saw him was 20 years ago in Wantagh. I remember being at Jones Beach with Bill Shibilski and hearing Eddie on WBAB-AM. This must have been in the late 60s. He was always a local favorite, and was well known especially to us Long Islanders. May he rest in peace. Tom Luciani
