James Patrick O'Sullivan, "Jim" age 79, of Miller Place died Sunday, January 15, 2017. James was born February 2, 1937 in County Kerry, Ireland. He is the son of the late Denis and Mary (Sullivan) O'Sullivan. He served in the Army during the Korean war from 1954 to 1957. He had been employed by Northrop Grumman as a Carpenter. He had emigrated from Ireland as a young man. Jim had been Grand Marshall of the Miller - Rocky Point Friends of Saint Patrick's Day Parade in 1965. He was a First Assistant Chief of the Miller Place Fire Department and was a Local Democratic Party Committeemen. He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Doyle) O'Sullivan , one daughter, Kathleen Jenne of Baldwinsville, NY and two sons, John O'Sullivan of Ronkonkoma, NY and Raymond O'Sullivan of Miller Place, NY. Three sisters: Agnes of Ireland, Nancy and Marion both of England and three brothers, Patrick O'Sullivan of Maspeth, NY, Denis O'Sullivan of Babylon, NY and Michael O'Sullivan of Ireland. He is also survived by five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 9:00 am on Wednesday, January 18 at St. Louis De Montfort RC Church, 75 New York Avenue, Sound Beach, NY. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Coram. There are no calling or visiting hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home. www.rockypointfuneralhome.com . .
