Alfred Podstupka

Alfred Podstupka, age 91, of Shoreham died Sunday, April 23, 2017. Mr. Podstupka was born January 28, 1926 in Manhasset, NY. He is the son of the late Felix and Antonia Podstupka. He served in the Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He received the European African Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Theatre and Victory Medal. He was employed by LILCO, NY or 32 years retiring as a Foreman. He is survived by his wife: Mary (Kolmick) Podstupka and his nephew, William T. Podstupka. Prayers will be offered 2:15PM on Sunday, April 30 at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton on Monday, May 1st . Family and friend will gather at the Rocky Point Funeral Monday, at 9:30AM for a 10AM closing prayer.
