Diane V. Cummings, age 73, of Ridge died Sunday, May 19, 2019. Diane was born February 7, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Gerard and the late Katherine (Krewer) Rice. She was employed by Kings Park State Hospital as a Therapy Aid. She is survived by her husband: Richard J. Cummings , two daughters: Kelly Crean of Saint James, NY and Shannon Cummings of Ridge, NY, and two sons: Michael Cummings of Shoreham, NY and Sean Cummings of Setauket, three sisters: Kathy Christie of Myrtle Beach, SC, Janet Doyle of Lake Panamoka, NY and Suzanne Romaine of Coram, NY, three brothers: Greg Rice of Toms River, NJ, Thomas Rice of Mount Sinai, NY and Jerry Rice of Myrtle Beach, SC. She also has five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 9:30 am on Wednesday, May 22 at St. Anthony Of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. vi hours will be Tuesday, May 21 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Our family was shocked and saddened upon hearing of Diane’s death. She and all of you were such a part of our growing up years. We shared may good and bad times together.
Our hearts break for you Richie, and your children, her brothers and sisters, grandchildren.
Take care of yourselves and be comforted in knowing we and many others will always remember Diane as a beautiful, loving, treasured friend.
