Charles L. McCormick, age 85, of Rocky Point, New York died Sunday, September 11, 2022. Charles was born August 11, 1937 in Bath, New York. He is the son of the late Robert and the late Angelina (Wilson) McCormick. He was the owner of the School Of Fish, Swim & Scuba in Rocky Point, New York. He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan (Sadoff) McCormick , two daughters, Cindy Troulis of New Jersey and Lynne Maher of New Jersey, and one son, Dean McCormick of Rocky Point, New York. All arrangements including private cremation have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. I am deeply saddened by Chuck’s passing. I’ve had the distinct pleasure of knowing him for almost 49 years. I’ve accompanied him and Susan on many diving trips over the decades. Throughout his career he established and maintained the finest dive shop and training facility on Long Island. Future trips will be difficult for me without him but I know his kind spirit will always be with us. Chuck has been an inspiration, mentor, and friend to me and I will miss him dearly. Dan Gowens
