We Geraghtys knew Anthony Garretto as Uncle Buzz, a childhood friend of our father, Patrick. He was godfather to both Coleen, the oldest Geraghty child, and to Patrick, the youngest. Coleen remembers him as a wonderfully generous godfather. His gifts to her included her first bottle of real perfume, Shalimar, and a sterling silver bracelet with charms from several European cities he visited. We were so pleased to see him again at the funeral of our mother, Eleanore, in 2016. In memory of Uncle Buzz, and with much love, we have made a donation to the National Veterans Foundation, which serves U.S. veterans and their families.
