Cynthia A. Johnson

Cynthia A. Johnson, age 69, of Mount Sinai, New York died Saturday, November 27, 2021. Cynthia was born September 13, 1952 in Smithtown, New York. She is the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Priscilla (Murray) Johnson. She was employed by Patricia Coyle, Stony Brook, New York as a Research Assistant. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Hjelset , and her loving siblings, Susan Johnson of Riverhead, New York, Kristina McMackin of Fort Defiance, Virginia, Laura Vassallo of Grafton, New York, Wendy Yanarkaya of Riverhead, New York, and Roy Johnson of Manorville, New York. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Family and friends will meet at the Funeral Home, Friday December 3, 2021 at 9:00 AM for a 10:00AM closing prayer and will proceed together to burial in Washington Memorial Park, Mt. Sinai, New York. Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York.
