Joseph Walter Hoffman

Joseph Walter Hoffman, Jr., age 79, of Calverton, New York died Sunday, September 11, 2022. Joseph passed away the morning of September 11th after a long and courageous battle with COPD , vascular disease and heart disease. He was born July 1, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is the son of the late Joseph Walter and the late Ethel (Flag) Hoffman, Sr. He was employed by City Tire Auto Center as a Mechanic. He was a loving father and PopPop that enjoyed the simple things of everyday life such as playing lottery, dinners with family, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was married to Jeanette Hoffman for almost 58 years. Their story is a love story to last beyond time and generations. Everything Joseph did, he did with Jeanette. They held hands up to the very end of Joseph's life but their love will live on in Jeanette's heart and everyone who know them together. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanette, dear sister, Judith Weeks, loving son Joseph and wife Jil, loving daughter Jill and husband Kurt, loving son James and wife Alisa, and three cherished grandchildren, James, Jr., Luke and Lauren. All arrangements including private cremation have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 24A, Rocky Point, New York.
