Housein (Jimmy) Karachopan, age 68, of Rocky Point, New York died Monday, December 18, 2023. Housein was born August 20, 1955 in Greece. He is the son of the late Mehmet and the late Ayse (Hci) Karachopan. He was employed by Sea Basin Restaurant, Rocky Point, New York as a Chef. He is survived by his beloved wife: Saundra (Merrell) Karachopan, one daughter: Leyla Karachopan of Orlando, Florida and one son, Housein Karachopan of Lake Worth, Florida. He also has three cherished grandchildren, Ihsan Karachopan, Mackenzie Sweeney, and, Kaylin Sweeney, and one loving brother, Spiro Karachopan. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home. 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. The funeral services will be held 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Long Island Mevlana Mosque, 366 Terryville Road, Port Jefferson Station, New York. Burial will follow in Washington Memorial Park, Mount Sinai, New York. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York.
