Robert Thomas Steinmetz, age 72, of Rocky Point, New York died Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Robert was born December 4, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of the late Harry and the late Edna (Schaffer) Steinmetz. He was employed by NYC Transit Authority, New York as a Bus Driver. Robert was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rosemary Steinmetz (nee Viscusi) in 2011. He is survived by his loving daughter, Dawn (Thomas) Grempel of Rocky Point, New York, and is the cherished grandfather of Bobby, Nick and Brianna and devoted great grandfather of Kailynn and Carter. Religious services will be held 8:30 pm on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am closing prayer and we will proceed together for burial in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale, New York.
