Daniel Duke Lasiewski, age 55, of Rocky Point, New York died Sunday, February 9, 2025. Daniel was born June 19, 1969 in Bayshore, New York. He is the son of Ruth (Prelich) Lasiewski and the late Thomas Lasiewski. He was employed by the IRS, New York as a Senior Investigative Analyst. All arrangements including private cremation have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. He is survived by his beloved wife, Amanda (Specht) Lasiewski and his loving son, Thomas Anthony Lasiewski. He is also survived by his dear mother Ruth (Prelich) Lasiewski, of Cape Coral, Florida and his siblings, Susann Crossan of Shoreham, New York and Richard Lasiewski of Williamsburg, Virginia. Religious services will be held 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. I loved you because you made me laugh and you loved me with all my faults. We created a handsome son that makes us proud everyday. I miss and love you Dan and a piece of me is missing. I will do my best to raise Thomas the best I can.
Dan spoke often about his family; his love for you Amanda and Thomas was deep. I already miss talking and texting with Dan. We chatted often covering topics from work to crypto to politics to world events. He had a special mind that always challenged me to look at things from different perspectives I hadn’t considered. A remember celebrating the day Danny and Amanda were married at a beautiful venue on the south shore. Watching Danny and his friends dancing and him having the best time ever 🙂

Dear Amanda & Thomas-Please accept my condolences. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father. I had the pleasure of working with Dan at IRS CI for several years and I greatly admired his ingenuity and sense of humor. Dan could discuss a variety of different topics, but most importantly, he often shared how much he loved both of you with his friends and coworkers. May Dan’s memory be a blessing to his family and friends.
Dan, you were the one with the big smile and the big hug everytime we saw you.
You always taught me something new everytime we got together. You knew everything about everything.
You lived life to enjoy it.
You made others always feel joy.
The kids will always have memories of you being the Dad in the pool that played with them.
