Aurora Ruiz known to everyone as Lolin. Came to the US from Puerto Rico at the age of 14. Moved to Germany with her brother, where she met her late husband and love of her life, Rey. She raised 5 children and helped raise 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She drew strength and companionship from her sister and sister in laws (who were her sisters), her church community, and neighbors. Lolin gave her love openly and fully to her family and friends. Her greatest joy was caring for all who knew her; always with food and love. Lolin will be missed and will live on through her family, who knows she is at peace with her Rey.

  6. Titi Lolin, I love you so much and you made everything fun. You introduced me to different things and said how successful I’ll be along with believing in me all the time. I’ll never forget when you introduced me to Chinese Checkers. I love you so much unconditionally. I will do amazing things under you and Reynolds’s watch above me.

The kind words you said to me about my dad Rene and how he told everyone that I was his daughter and how proud he was of me. I will miss our phone calls and I will miss you.     “Mi Amor”. That is what I called you when I was a baby and I had needed attention just as I was learning to walk. My mom and you would laugh about, even just a few years ago. Now, you are all together. I will miss talking to you but I know you’re in a better place and no more pain. Rest in peace. Love you always..

  13. candleThank you for all that you did for our family, Grandma. I am going to miss you, and I am especially going to miss the phone calls that we would have on my drive to work. I am especially going to miss how excited you would get when I would talk about how my days have gone on the railroad, and tell you stories about my the crazy things I see on the trains, you would always laugh really hard over them and then pray for me to keep my safe as I do my job. I know you’re going to keep all of us safe as you watch over all of us as we navigate through our daily lives. We will always miss you, and we will always love you <3

  20. Happy Birthday my beautiful mama. How will I do this I do not know but I will do it knowing you’re with your “Rey” mi amor, my papa. My heart is broken I will miss you forever and a day. Football sundays will be a bit different now but know you’ll be watching with us. I love you my mama. I miss you more. Dance with your papa and give him so many kisses from us. It was in Germany where you met Rey, and I remember that courtship as if it was yesterday. I especially remember the beautiful smiles you and Rey always had!   22. May God Bless you Aunt Lolin and your family. I remember those days back in North Carolina and in West Germany in the 60’s. You were big sister to all of us and an integral part of our family growing up in those memorable days. I’ll always be grateful to you for always finding the time to see me up in NY when in the area; talk to me on the phone especially during a very difficult time following the loss of our daughter. We will always be grateful for the love and compassion you provided to us during this terrible time. You are a wonderful Aunt to me and now that you are reunited with Uncle Rey, Mom, Dad in a very special place above -without pain, may God bless you with eternal peace and happiness. Until we meet again someday Aunt Lolin.

    Ron and I are saddened to hear of your passing. You were instrumental in my cancer recovery with your positive thoughts and prayers. Our visit to you and family in Lodi is one I cherish! Knowing that you are at peace and are reunited with Rey and my mom and dad brings us comfort. You will be forever missed!
