Regina Marie Zito (Dicecco) was a beautiful soul, taken from us too soon.
Regina was not only a bright light in our lives but a constant source of joy. She had a smile that could brighten the darkest of days. Her happiness was so infectious, and her spirit shone so brightly, it was impossible not to be drawn to her warmth, laughter and her amazing hugs.
She carried with her a lightness of being that lifted everyone around her. No matter the challenges she faced, she remained the epitome of positivity. Her heart was pure, and she gave her love so freely, always eager to bring comfort to those who needed it most.
To know Regina was to know that joy is found in the simplest of moments. Whether it was a quiet conversation, a hug, a shared laugh, or a spontaneous adventure, she made every experience feel special. Her presence was a reminder that happiness doesn’t have to be earned— sometimes, it’s just a choice we make. She made that choice every single day.
A beloved wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, Titi, niece, cousin, friend, and coworker—her absence leaves an unfathomable immense void. In the selfless way she lived, may her legacy inspire us to carry forward her smile, her light, love, and happiness. We can honor her memory by choosing joy, by smiling through the tough times, and by embracing life with the same love and light she always did.
“Once there was a tree…and she loved a little boy. And every day the boy would come and he would gather her leaves and make them into crowns and play king of the forest. He would climb up her trunk and swing from her branches and eat apples. And they would play hide and seek. And when the boy was tired, he would sleep in her shade. And the boy loved the tree…very much. And the tree was happy…”
Regina was our Giving Tree…she loved genuinely, effortlessly and selflessly. The love she had for her nieces and nephews is a testament to who she was and palpable in the images within these pages.
Rest in peace, our sweet Regina, and may your essence live on in all of us. You will always be missed, and you will never be forgotten.
…until we meet again
