Guestbook

  1. George Macdonald was an awesome cousin and an amazing human being. His heart was as big as his personality. He will forever be missed! ❤️

  2. candleGeorge and Dale were literally the first neighbors we met after moving to our ski house full time in Vermont. The relationship grew over the years. There will forever be the memory of the Christmas trees he planted each year in the yard. I had to meticulously mow around them. I hope the family will cut a tree each year in his remembrance. It would be an awesome tribute to a great man.

  3. We go back almost 50 years, when I hired George to tend bar part time at Steak& Stein in Mt. Sinai. He would do our employee’s taxes at the bar when he wasn’t busy. Then he did mine for 40 years. David still does them. George was a great person, honest, jovial and caring. I would talk to him over the years and he would keep me up to date with our old employees. I will miss talking to George. He was special! So sorry to Dale and the entire family.

  4. George was our accountant for over 30 years. Going to see him on Tax Day was like going to see Santa Claus when I was a young boy.
A big jovial man with a snowy white beard giving you the best gift ever: NO estimates due for the first 2 quarters!! Out of the office he was the same – a warm, caring friend who always listened when you spoke.
Our hearts are with the entire Macdonald family as they say goodbye to their husband, father and friend. We too say Goodbye to Big George and we hope Heaven is filled with warm breezes, laughter and plenty of Manhattans…

  5. candleGeorge, I’ll never forget the great times we had. You introduced me to the Friends of Saint Patrick & the memories we shared will live with me forever.

Rest in eternal peace, my friend. Shine down on Dale, the kids & grandkids. I’ll see ya up there one day, and we’ll have a few beers & a whole lot of laughs.

    Rich

  6. A wonderful kind guy. I will always remember George from my riverhead days with jack hansen. My sincere condolences to the family. A truly quality person! If I was up north I would be there. He made a difference.

  7. George, I am sure that Richie had a beer waiting for you!! Thank You for your friendship and the best accountant for all those years!!My thoughts and prayers are with your wonderful family!!
Love, June Bug🐞❤️ Rest In Peace!! You will be missed!!☘️☘️

  8. George has been our accountant since 1976. He took care of our business and our income taxes until he retired in October of 2019. He was a friend, a wonderful accountant, and a man who took pride in his family. I myself have recently retired but my wife and I still have our income taxes done at the Macdonald, Berger office.
We were saddened of the news of George’s, passing and it is hard to really convey to his family what is in our hearts. We hope knowing the Love people had for George will help with the healing for Dale and the family, our sincere condolences!
