It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald James Singlemann, who departed this life peacefully on September 21, 2025, at the age of 67, surrounded by his family. Ron was born in Queens, NY; on May 26, 1958, one of seven children to the late George and Jean (Ouellette) Singlemann.
Ron graduated from Hauppauge High School class of 1976. He continued his education at the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC with a focus on photography. He launched a photography business from his parents’ basement, which eventually evolved into Abstract Image Group, a graphic design company where he has served as President and CEO for over 25 years.
Ron married his high school sweetheart, Anita, in 1981, and together they raised two children, Meghan and Ryan. He was a dedicated husband, devoted father, proud grandfather to four grandchildren and a loyal friend to many.
Ron was an Eagle Scout with Troop 343, and a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow. Ron was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter, vibrant personality and unwavering kindness. Ron enjoyed skiing, golfing, photography, spending time with his grandchildren, and enthusiastically starting projects- though not always finishing them. Above all, his selflessness stood out; you could always count on him to be there when you needed him.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his brother Lawrence Singlemann, who passed away in 1985.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years Anita (Glandorf) Singlemann; daughter, Meghan Saunders and her husband Melvin; son, Ryan Singlemann and his wife Erin; brothers, Douglas Singlemann and his wife Peggy; Gregory Singlemann and his wife Maryann; Brian Singlemann and his wife Maryann; Christopher Singlemann and his wife Ellen; sister, Darlene Pettit and her husband Gerard; grandchildren, Melvin IV, Mackenzie, Jackson and Nora.
Ron’s selflessness, kindness, generosity, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
