Anthony C. Mazzenga

Anthony “Tony” Mazzenga of Commack passed away peacefully surrounded by his family he loved so dearly. He was 95 years old. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather whose creativity, kindness, and warmth left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Tony Is survived by Carol, his beloved wife of 75 years and their four daughters: Diane, Carolyn, Marianne and Toni Lyn, who were the joy and pride of his life. He was also the cherished grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of seven.

Tony spent his entire career in the apparel industry, where his talent and imagination flourished. During his years with Garan, he was the creative genius behind the Garanimals clothing line, a concept which brought style and simplicity to parents everywhere. Later, Tony founded Wickers Sportswear, a company that specialized in performance undergarments for the outdoor industry.

Beyond his professional achievements Tony will be remembered for his sharp wit, warm smile, and unwavering devotion to his family. He loved a good conversation, a hearty laugh, a good meal and an after dinner scotch.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with gratitude and affection by all who were fortunate to know him.
