Douglas E. Scheim
March 13, 1957 ~ January 14, 2026
Doug Scheim of Commack, NY passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026 surrounded by family.
Doug grew up in Syosset, NY and graduated from Virginia Tech. He was an avid New York sports fan, with an affinity for the Yankees. Doug was a loving husband and father. He very involved in Hauppauge youth sports while his children attended school. In addition to coaching, a carpenter by trade, he thoroughly enjoyed home improvements and woodworking. He especially enjoyed projects on his children’s homes. Doug lived every moment to the fullest and will be missed dearly.
Doug is survived by his wife Carol, son Daniel (Taylor), son Robert (Danielle), daughter Kristina Marro (Jesse), grandson Max Daniel Scheim, sister Sally Gorman (Kevin) and many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
