Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My earliest memories are of Aunt Rose, as we called her. She was only 12 years older than I, so we were more like sisters. I enjoyed our times together. She was one of those special people who wasn’t afraid to tell you the truth as she saw it, loved a good argument over just about anything, and loved me and all her family no matter what. She was special, and I will forever miss her mischievous eyes, the cards with little personal notes she would send me, and most of all, those wonderful hugs! God bless Mary Rose Kelly.

  2. Anne and I are very sorry for your loss. You have our most heartfelt sympathy. We’re sorry we were unable to join you to celebrate Aunt Rose’s life.

  3. Q: What meal or recipe did Mary love?

A: I have several fond memories of Aunt Rose. She (and Uncle Bill and Anthony) came to our (Laura and my) rescue when our car broke down in NYC. She put us up for the night, in the greatest finished basement, in her Jackson Heights apartment. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Anthony even gave us a Star Wars Trilogy VHS box set. I didn’t see Aunt Rose very often, but after she bought her Rocky Point home, mom and I visited on a couple occasions. Each time we went, aside from arguing politics, she made pepperoni bread for us. I had never heard of this concoction before, but it sure was tasty. I will miss Aunt Rose, truly.

  4. Rest in peace Aunt Rose, even though you were not my blood relative I will always remember you as Aunt Rose. I will never forget your generosity letting me stay in the basement every weekend for 7 years while I was living in Florida and running my business on Long Island. Say hello to Roseanne, you always had a special place in her heart.
