Natalie Aurucci Stiefel, age 91, of Rocky Point, New York died Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born April 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, NewYork. She is the daughter of the late Rosario and the late Mildred (Marzano) Aurucci. A long time resident of Rocky Point and Sayville, she was the Executive Secretary at Thomas R. Wilson Lace Mill in Port Jefferson for 34 years. She was a Charter Member, Trustee and Past President of the Rocky Point Historical Society, Co-President of Long Island Wireless; editor of Distant Sparks newsletter, Times Beacon Record Woman of the Year in Civics 2004 "Point of Light" Award, 2023 Rocky Point Sound Beach Chamber Woman of Distinction Award, NYS Assembly, 2023 and Author of "Looking Back at Rocky Point, Vol.1", published in 2003 and wrote a weekly column since 1994 for the Community Journal "Looking Back at Rocky Point". She wrote extensively about Rocky Point History, RCA and Long Island radio history, Marconi, Tesla and the artist Temima Gezari. She is survived by her Nephew, Kenneth (Rose) Monz of Rocky Point, New York and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bruce in 2021. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 9-11AM.     I first met Natalie in 1961 when I arrived in the USA. After I left the USA in 1964 we kept in touch for many years.
    Natalie took an interest in people and loved helping them.
