Anthony Joseph Schmidt, age 91, of Rocky Point, New York died Monday, October 27, 2025. Anthony was born February 25, 1934 in Corona, Queens, New York. He is the son of the late Charles J. and the late Mary (Manchisi) Schmidt. He served in the Army during the Korean war from 1952 to 1954. He was employed by the Town Of Brookhaven as a Senior Engineer Aide. He is survivived by his beloved wife, June (Fahrenholz) Schmidt and his loving children, Daria Schmidt (Douglas Crestsinger) of Oklahoma, Erica Schmidt (Rick Zellmer ) of Minnesota, John (Linda) Schmidt of Rocky Point, New York and Christopher (Patricia) Schmidt of Ridge, New York. Anthony is also survived by his siblings, Patricia Finley of East Meadow, New York and William Schmidt of Kings Park, New York. He is also the cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Brett, Juleigha, Carl, Katarina, Taylor, Ryan, and Payton. He was predeceased by his sister Caroline Schmidt and his grandson Henry. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Religious services will be held 8:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Monday, 11/3/2025 for a closing prayer and we will proceed to Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York for burial with Military Honors. Visiting hours will be Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, New York.
