Mr. Colby’s brilliance as a teacher was only superseded by his kindness and wit. He was an integral part of the Forest Hills High School Science Department for many years. During my years as a student, his smile and encouragement extended to everyone even if we were not in one of his classes. His words of appreciation and smile after a concert to those of us in the chorus were so nice of him. I am sorry to know that he is no longer here and grateful to have made his acquaintance. May he rest in peace.

Mr Colby was one of my all time favorite teachers. Though many many years have passed, when someone would ask of a favorite teacher, i always talk about my earth science teacher. RIP Mr Colby and thank you.
