Charles I. Mathers, 77, of Miller Place, New York, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2026.
Born on January 13, 1949, Charles lived a life defined by dedication to his family and service to
his country. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served honorably and carried the
values of integrity, commitment, and patriotism throughout his life.
Charles was the beloved husband of Rosemary Mathers. Together they built a loving family and
shared many years of cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rosemary; his
children, Christopher Mathers and his wife, Donna, Charles Mathers and his wife, Robin, Jean
Marie Pray and her husband, Michael, and Kevin Mathers.
He was a proud and loving grandfather to Marissa, Victoria, Christopher, Braeden, Carter,
Michael, Ryan, and Gabrielle, and a cherished great-grandfather to Jayce. Nothing brought
Charles greater joy than spending time with his family and watching the younger generations
grow and thrive.He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Chaz, who was a loyal companion and
brought him much comfort and joy.
Whether sharing stories with loved ones, playing golf or watching the Yankees, Charles
appreciated life’s simple pleasures and made lasting memories with those around him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the
privilege of knowing him.
