Praying for your family at this difficult time… 😔
1995 was a defining year in my life. I can say without a shadow of a doubt, had it not been for Bruce walking in to my communications class to let us know Hofstra had a radio station, I would not be where I am today. Almost 30 years later I still love my job and love radio! Bruce’s legacy runs too far and too deep to even begin to calculate the impact he had on so many people. Rest In Peace. With love, Adam Zuckerberg
We spoke about life and the journey it entails.
Rest in peace.
Thinking of Bruce’s vibrant soul free and expansive, sending love and condolences to the immediate and extended family he leaves behind.
What a wonderful man… Bruce’s presence at WRHU was so paternal in nature. I’m the daughter of community volunteer, Giovanna Auriemma & would frequently spend Saturday mornings at WRHU from infancy through college. I was always so excited to see Bruce on a random weekend or any WRHU event we went to. His gentle, kind, supportive personality shines through all the students who had the privilege of knowing him and learning from him. Bruce instilled a love of music in all its forms in WRHU. May his memory live on with pride. My deepest & sincerest condolences to all who love him.
No matter what the content of our conversation Bruce always greeted me as a friend, with a smile. I have appreciated his leadership at WRHU so very much. My condolences to the entire Avery family.
My heart is sad today hearing of the passing of Bruce Avery, a man who always had his door open to me for a quick chat or providing me with the opportunity to discuss my show and get nothing but support and affirmation from. I will miss him dearly and am so glad that I went to his retirement party at Hofstra University where I met his lovely wife and daughter. Blessing and prayers for his eternal soul in Heaven and to his beloved family. Love, Vincent
Dear Veronica,
I’m send my deepest condolences. So very sorry to hear about Bruce. Although I didn’t know Bruce,, Simone and Rich thought a great deal of him.
I Hope to see when you’re next in Savannah.
With a hug.
You touched so many lives and you leave a legacy that will last a lifetime. Bruce, yours was a life well lived. Condolences to the Avery family and everyone at WRHU
May you be cradled in God’s arms as you look down from heaven at those who celebrate the powerful gift you’ve been to humanity. And may those you left behind continue to share your legacy of compassion, generosity and kindness.
Katy-LT151🙏🏽❤️

Feeling fortunate to have been in Bruce’s light. Going to miss his kind calming presence. Rest in peace.
My heart is so filled with tears. Knowing we won’t get to spend more time together is heartbreaking.
With love to your lovely soul & the music it brought forth ~ Simone~
Sending deep condolences to Veronica and family. Danny and I are touched to have known Bruce, a kind man of so many meaningful contributions and achievements. To be with Bruce and Veronica was to be in the presence of love. May Bruce Rest In Peace and Veronica continue to feel love all around her.
Your words are forever etched on our hearts, Bruce. Be at peace.
In times of silence, love hears…
In times of doubt, love hopes…
In times of sorrow, love heals…
And in all times, love remembers.
May time soften the pain
Until all that remains
Is the warmth of the memories
And the love.
You are dearly missed in this dimension…way too soon man. Way too soon.
Still, I’ll see you in the next life…
Much love to
Bruce Avery.
Your legacy and spirit will live on in the memories of those whose lives you touched..
My Heart breaks for you and your family Veronica. May Bruce’s light shine in you forever <3
Words fall short to describe all the joy, laughter, and sometimes tears that life gifted us to be able to share together ……I will see you in my thoughts, I will hold you in my heart always , and I know I will hear you whenever the angels gather around to hear you sing & play your guitar ♥️
The words “kindness“ and “gentleness” are what I use to describe my experience with Bruce. Those qualities made him an excellent leadership head coach especially in LT138. It is great to meet such a fine spirit.
You are an angel for many and I am grateful for you being not only my mentor but my friend. RIP Bruce.
Although I did not join Momentum , not that you didnt try, your personality and love affected me greatly . I will continue my work to combat bullying for both of us in the future. Rest in Peace my friend.
Bruce touched so many lives including my own. To be in the presence of Bruce was to be in the presence of pure LOVE…and LOVE is eternal. May Bruce’s memory be eternal.
And so greatful that the universe took care of such a loving man by blessing him with such a strong and loving partner in return so that he too would know love greatly.
Thank you Bruce for the light and love you brought to everyone you met. Im so grateful for the memories we had together. I will always remember your smile, authenticity and commitment to lead with love. May you rest in peace. Sending love and prayers to your family.
