In Loving Memory of Frances Davide

Frances passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 29 leaving a legacy of love, dedication, and laughter. Known for her humor, and resilience, Frances was the heart of her family, raising five wonderful children in a home filled with love, laughter and a little bit of crazy!

Born Frances Boitel in Park Slope Brooklyn, on 8th Street to Sylvester and Franny Boitel, she was the youngest of ten children. Her adult life was a grand love story—she married Donald Davide from 10th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and together they built a beautiful life, eventually settling on Dover Street in Valley Stream.

Married for an incredible 68 years to Donald, Frances exemplified what it means to be a steadfast partner and a nurturing parent. Her life was a testament to commitment, as she managed the challenges of raising a large family in a small house with grace and an unbreakable spirit.

Professionally, Frances served as a school administrator in the Valley Stream School District. She later worked with an insurance agency, where she was known for her meticulousness and dedication to service.

Her passion for helping others extended beyond her personal life. Frances cared for her older Brother Peter Boitel a WWII veteran and created life-changing events for her Sister, Lee, and her two Brothers Al and Andy. Frances was involved in volunteer work, touching many lives through her selfless acts of kindness. Her contributions left an indelible mark on her community, much like the love she instilled in her family.

Frances leaves behind her devoted husband, Donald, her five children annd their respective spouses eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, all of whom she cherished deeply. Her sense of humor was legendary, often bringing smiles to faces even in the toughest times, and her strength was something to behold – truly tough as nails.

Rest in peace, Frances, your legacy of love and laughter will continue to light our lives.
