Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Words alone cannot mend your broken hearts. I will always have fond memories of Laurette. Fly high my friend, you have many angels waiting for you.

  2. George Sand wrote, “There is only one happiness in this life, to love and be loved.” Laurette abounded in happiness. Truly, to know her was to love her and to be known by her was to be loved.

  3. candleOur hearts are so heavy for the Laprarie family. We pray for all of you during this very difficult time. May Laurette rest in God’s loving arms.

  4. candleThank yoi for all you have done for the kids especially my James this year! He was so fond of you! I told him you’ll be watching over the class and they will make you proud! Rest in peace!

  5. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family during this extremely difficult time. You and your brother are together. God bless your family.

  6. candleMy son was lucky enough to have Ms. LaPrarie as his 4th grade teacher. I know she had a profound impact on my sons education this even for the short time they were together. Devestated to hear this news. My deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Ms. LaPrarie. Wishing you all peace and comfort during this extremely difficult time. Rest peacefully.

  7. It was my great privilege and an honor to work side by side with Laurette for almost 20 years. She was a true gem with a heart of gold. Her dedication, patience, and compassion made her a highly respected member of Ridge School, a favorite among students, a forever friend, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Her easy-going nature and warm smile resonated with everyone.
Laurette was a devoted sister, daughter, aunt, and an unforgettable friend who has surely left her mark on us all. She took pride in any role she played and always put forth 110%. Laurette always found ways to lift our spirits, show gentleness and empathy with students, and encouraged us to all be our best.
I will miss you, sweet friend. Thank you for gracing our lives with love, for teaching by example how to be kind to one another, and to take things one day at a time.
May your light continue to shine bright upon us, and may you rest in peace, together with your loved ones. You will not be forgotten. xoxo

  8. Doug and I send our love to the LaPrarie-King family. Our hearts are broken for all who loved her! Surely, she is an angel!

  10. I was fortunate to work with Laurette for many years. She was always first to help and always with such kindness and patience. My sincerest condolences to her family. It is a huge loss to Ridge Elementary and to all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.

  11. candleI won’t ever forget the LaPrarie- King rivalry at field day Ridge School 2024. Nor will I forget us trying to plot how to get “our” sister Jeannine to retire. We laughed so hard because we knew she’d do it on her own time. I remember how excited ‘Rette was that maybe this week she’d be walking. Well she is truly walking , without weakness but with the angels. I loved your laugh it was truly the definition of the word giggle. Smile on Laurette. May you laugh with others who were waiting for you. Rest in Peace , sweet heart. You will be missed & remembered, My condolences to all of your family ! Love, Karen Wilson
