Alan Machia, 66, of Mount Sinai NY, passed away suddenly at his home on May 29, 2026. He is survived by his beloved wife Cathy (Florsz) and loving daughter Claire (Joseph) Kruse of Pleasant Valley, New York. Cherished son of Joanne (Ulrich) Tremblay of Barre, Vermont, and brother of Steven Machia as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was employed by National Grid for 35 years, retiring in 2021. During his time with National Grid, he made many dear friends with whom he kept in close contact since his retirement. Once a month, they all gathered for lunch at a favorite restaurant and enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days.

An avid music lover and amateur musician, he enjoyed playing his guitars, going to concerts, and listening to his favorite tunes in the garage.
He will be deeply missed for his generosity to his friends, his love and dedication to his family, and a lifetime of hard work.
