Alfred Bomford

Alfred "Skip" Bomford, age 76, of Sound Beach died Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Alfred was born August 7, 1941 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Alfred and the late Marion (Browne) Bomford. He served in the Army as an MP during the Vietnam war from 1964 to 1966. He was employed by Xerox in Plainview, NY in Sales. He is survived by his wife: Susan (Festa) Bomford , one daughter: Jessica Bomford of Miller Place, NY and one son: Peter Bomford of Sound Beach, NY; one sister: Elizabeth Garret of New Jersy and one brother: John Bomford of South Carolina; He also has 5 Grand Children. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered 10:00 am on Friday, June 1 at St. Louis De Montfort RC Church, 75 New York Avenue, Sound Beach, NY. Burial will follow at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 30 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Thursday, May 31 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY.
