Andrea Anna (Loewe) Sulz was born in Brooklyn, New York on March 5, 1971 to Carol (Loewe) Herrmann (George) and Frederick H. Loewe (Pat). She was their first born child. Andrea was delightful fun loving woman who loved children and was born to be a teacher.
Her heart was always with children with special needs. She began her teaching career in one of the most neediest schools in Jamaica, Queens. Her students were high school age coming from low income backgrounds with developmental disabilities. She was devoted to the educational as well as the social needs of these at risk students for many years. She would spend hours looking for appropriate reading materials that they could relate to in their lives.
Andrea met the love of her life David Sulz in 1998. They were soon married and started a beautiful family together with the birth of Samantha Rose Sulz in April of 2003 and then Alexandra Rose Sulz in January of 2007. She knew that this was what her real role in life, motherhood. She was a fun, lively mother who filled her girls lives with daily activities, library visits, dance and gymnastic classes.
Andrea recently returned to the classroom with joy. As her children grew she knew it was time to reinvent herself.
Andrea died on January 12, 2022 of complications from Covid. She is survived by her husband David Sulz, two daughters Samantha & Alexandra, mother Carol Herrmann, her two siblings Paul Loewe (Sarah), Margot Bizon (Michael) and her beloved nieces and nephew, Luke, Madi, Mia and Isabelle.
She will be missed daily by all her friends, family and work associates. However, most of all by the light she brought into her family’s lives, David, Samantha and Alexandra. She will remain with them always.

Success
By Ralph Waldo Emerson
To laugh often and love much;
to win the respect of intelligent persons
and the affection of children;
to earn the approbation of honest critics
and to endure the betrayal of false friends;
to appreciate beauty;
to find the best in others;
to give of oneself;
to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch or redeemed social condition;
to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived—
this is to have succeeded.
My heart broke when I heard God had taken such a sweet, smart, funny, beautiful kind angel-on-earth. Andrea, may you Rest In Peace. God Bless Dave, Sam, Alex and your family, and give them strength through this difficult time. You were a one-of-a-kind person and am so blessed to have called you a friend. You will be missed…rest easy, Andrea ❤️💔
There are no words to express how devastated I am. Andrea was one of a kind. I’m so grateful that I had the chance to spend some time with her over Christmas. I am so very sorry for your loss. I too loved Andrea like she was my family.
I’m so sorry for your loss, there just are no words that could ease your hearts at this time. You are in my prayers.
I happened to come across this and pray that eventually it may help. This was written by David Haskins a British artist .
You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her, or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
I said, “God I hurt.”
And God said “I know.”
I said, “God I cry a lot..”
And God said “That is why I gave you tears.”
I said, “God, I am so depressed.”
And God said, “That is why I gave you sunshine.”
I said, “Life is so hard.”
And God said “That is why I gave you loved ones.”
I said, “God, my loved one died.”
And God said, “So did mine.”
I said, “God, it is such a loss.”
And God said, “Mine was nailed to a cross.”
I said, “God, your loved one lives.”
And God said, “So does yours.”
I said, “God, where are they now?”
And God said, “Mine is on the right, and yours is in the light.”
I said, “God it hurts.”
And God said “I know.”

To my beautiful cousin and friend Andrea,
Your loss leaves a painful void that will never be filled. You were taken too soon, but I know you rest in the embrace of our loved ones in Heaven who have gone before you. I take comfort in the wonderful memories of good times spent together through the years. I will miss your antics, your smile and laughter, your stories and humor, your support and love. More than you’ll ever know. The girls and I will be there for your family, especially Sam and Alex as they grow into the beautiful and strong women you were raising them to be. You were an amazing person, with so much love to give. My hope is that you knew how much you meant to me. Rest In Peace forever, Andrea.

What a beautiful tribute whoever did that video to a life very well lived, and someone who gave so much back to everyone she met.
Carol and family,
I remember Andrea lighting up a room when she walked in. That smile, the fun, the kindness. It is wonderful to hear that she became a teacher and touched many students’ lives. I am sad for you, please accept my condolences.
