Andrew Anagnos

August 3, 1972 ~ October 8, 2023
Born in:
Southampton, NY
Resided in:
Northport, NY
Andy was a first generation American born to Greek immigrant parents. He spent his childhood growing up in Hampton Bays / Montauk and worked endless hours alongside his family at their diner, The Plaza Restaurant. He rolled into SUNY Albany in his white convertible mustang 5.0, pledged the fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) where he made lifelong friends. He received a masters degree from Fordham University and for 20+ years worked in corporate finance. He met Jenn along the way and they spent many years traveling the world together. For over 10 years they lived in NYC where their 2 daughters, Veronica and Penelope, were born. Shortly after they moved to Northport, NY and Andy focused on being his girls’ soccer coach and then the proud dad cheering on the sidelines at soccer and basketball games, school plays and concerts. He lived for his girls and everyone noticed it. In order to spend even more time at home with his family Andy was in the process of starting his own sign and graphics business. He valued being a good person and a hard worker and set that example for his children in everything he did. He was loved by many and will be missed deeply.

Andy was my cousin through marriage. He was the first link to the remarkable extended family I have joined. Andy’s warm smile, inquisitive nature, and graceful demeanor were quintessential to his character, and they welcomed me into the fold. His inviting presence continues to serve as a beacon of inspiration, a standard to which we must aspire. May we all hold close the memory of his kindness and let it guide us through the days ahead. Andy’s impact on our lives will forever be treasured.
