Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. candleI’ve known Andrew since we were eight years old, playing travel baseball and soccer together.

Everyone loved him. I remember him in the outfield and whenever he made a play, he’d come running in with the biggest smile on his face. That’s just who he was—always happy, always joking around, always making things lighter for everyone else.

Andrew had this way of making every single person feel like they mattered. You couldn’t be around him and not smile. He brought so much energy and joy to our team and to everyone who knew him. He was a talented soccer player that pulled him away from baseball. I have so many great memories with Andrew. He was my teammate for 5 years and my friend.

I prayed for him every day, hoping he would heal and get better.

In my heart, I really believed he would. I still can’t believe I’m even writing this.

I didn’t know that when I saw you two days before your accident, it would be the last time I’d ever see you. That hurts more than I can explain.

My heart is broken. Rest in peace. I love you forever, brother.

  2. Dear Andrew,

You are forever in our hearts and minds. May God take you into his arms as you enter into heaven with the other angels amongst you. God bless.

  3. candleAndrew, you’ve had a very hard battle to fight over the last several weeks. Your Miller Place-Sound Beach community has been praying for you non-stop. It’s so hard for us to wrap our heads around the reality of this nightmare. The angels have brought you to comfort now so you can rest peacefully with God in Heaven. We now pray for the strength of your family to push through these most heavy days ahead. They have your whole community behind them. Just as you will be, they will always be in our hearts & prayers.

  4. candleWe love you, Andrew. We will miss you in every soccer play. May you Rest in Peace.

  5. candleI didnt know u personally. Just from reading about u online and when i saw what happened, i prayed every day that u would get better. Rest easy 🩵

  6. candleA young man taken too soon, your name means something in the soccer community , forever remember #44 ,prayers to the family 🪽

  7. I I didn’t know you, but I live around the corner from where it happened and I was on 25 a when it was shut down , from the second I heard what happened I prayed for you every day !! You are at peace now you won’t suffer anymore!!
.I pray for your family, we have had this tragedy within our family and I know that there is nothing to say that will make it better but I hope they know they are in our hearts and prayers. Rest in peace.

  8. candleMay you rest in peace Andrew.
Our hearts and prayers will for ever be with you and your family.

  9. Andrew you were such a light & a gift to this world. You will forever be loved and missed by so many people. I hope you rest easy and heaven is just how you expected it. 💙

  10. I am so deeply sorry for the heartbreaking loss of your beloved son, Andrew. Although I do not know your family personally, my son Owen attends the same school, and when he called me with the news, my heart broke. I found myself grieving as if Andrew were one of my own.

Please know that your son’s life mattered, and his loss is felt far beyond your immediate circle. My thoughts are with you during this unimaginable time. I hope you feel surrounded by care, strength, and compassion as you navigate this profound loss.

  11. candleAndrew, you were taken far too soon and were such a wonderful kid. You brought so much joy, laughter, love, and unforgettable memories to your friendship with Logan.

You made a wonderful impact in my life with your sweet and caring personality, and in Logan’s brother Aiden’s life as well, along with so many others around you.

This is an unimaginable loss for all of us. May your family find comfort in the love and support surrounding them, and may they know they are not alone. May you rest peacefully., Andrew.

  12. From the very beginning of our soccer journey, Samuel found in you so much more than a teammate. He found a brother, a confidant, and a truly loyal friend. Andrew, you showed us what real loyalty looks like, and that is something that will stay with us forever.

I will always remember your smile as you got into the car for practice, the kindness and respect you carried with you at all times, and the quiet way you made everything better just by being there. The late nights after practice, sharing meals, laughing together are memories we will hold close to our hearts forever.

Thank you for letting us be part of your life and for all the beautiful moments we shared with you. You meant so much to us, more than words can fully express.

I know that from heaven, you will always be by Sammy’s side, guiding him, protecting him, and sharing in his journey.

    You will never be forgotten.
    You will always be loved.

    Farewell, dear Andrew.
    Forever #44.

  15. candleDear Andrew…I never had the pleasure of meeting you but I feel I know you through stories of your friends, family, and loved ones. It is clear you were an amazing, kind, and courageous little boy! Andrew, I have prayed for you every day. Since your passing, I find myself asking why these things happen and why this happened to you. But being a mom of an angel myself, I know there are no answers. I am just grateful for the time I had and what I have ultimately learned through this experience. To your family; cherish the incredible memories; be grateful for every day you are here, embrace life to the fullest, and know that Andrew will always be with you no matter where you are. Love has no boundaries, and moving forward, Andrew’s love will be felt 1,000 times more! One more thing I would like to share; during my early grief, at some point I was remembering that in life, my angel always wanted me to be happy…and how sad she might be watching me watching me ‘now’…that gave me a lot of strength. Andrew, you will forever live in our hearts, may you rest in peace!

  24. candleDear Andrew Ronald Regan once Said that when a person takes their last Breath “its a Tear in the Fabric a Break in the Hole but all your family and the community can do is Remember” but your with God Now the pain of what you suffered is Over its been Relieved bc Parents dont want to See their child go through the pain and suffering bc it is to much to take in. The Loss of life is immense but sometimes parents have to make tuff decisions bc again watching a Child Lay in a hospital bed with that many injuries is a very tuff thing to take in and Watch. God Speed Brother 🙏

  25. candleAndrew you were such a bright light in this world. Your sense of humor and personality always brought a smile to everyone’s face. You will be dearly missed. Sending you and your family lots of love and light during this difficult time.

  26. candleThere are simply no words that can fully hold the weight of losing a child. It is an unimaginable pain, one that no family should ever have to endure, yet one that is all too familiar to us.

To the Salgado family, please know that you are not alone. We are holding you close in our hearts, lifting you in our prayers, and surrounding you with love during this time of profound grief. Our hearts ache alongside yours and we stand with you, today and in the difficult days ahead.
