Angelina Acocella

Angelina Acocella, age 93, of Ridge, NY died Wednesday, December 23, 2015. Angelina was born June 5, 1922 in New York City, NY. She is the daughter of the late Vincent and Carmela (Curiso) Romano. Angelina was predeceased by her Beloved Husband Angelo Acocella. She was employed by New York City as a Corrections Officer. She is survived by her two Loving Daughters, Mildred (Larry) Ekert and Patricia Tufaro both of Ridge, NY, two Dear sisters, Josephine Baldanza and Nina Margherita both of Florida. She is also the Cherished Grandmother of Carolann, Patricia, Lawrence Jr., Lori and Gina and Precious Great Grandmother of James Paul and Paige Falon, Andrew, Trey, Jake, Michael, Alyssa, Mia and Olivia. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 AM on Monday, December 28 at St. Anthony Of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Burial will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Visiting hours will be Saturday, December 26th from 7-9 PM and Sunday, December 27th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. Memorial donations may be made in her name to the National Diabetes Research Foundation, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
