Born in: Brooklyn, NY
Resided in: Smithtown, NY

It is with profound sadness and endless love that we announce the passing of Angelo Solomita, who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Angelo is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Susan Solomita; his beloved children, Angelo Michael, Anthony, Joseph, and Samantha; their spouses, Alicia, Anna, and Thomas; his cherished grandchildren, Antonio, Ariana, Lucas, Logan, and Andrea, who brought him immeasurable joy; and his loving siblings, Rose, Caterina, and Michael. His love for his family was the foundation of his life, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Family and friends are warmly invited to join in celebrating Angelo’s life during the visitation from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Branch Funeral Home. Following the prayer service at 6:30 p.m., food will be served in the Hospitality Room, located downstairs. All are welcome to gather, share memories, and honor the remarkable man Angelo was.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Lighthouse Mission, a cause that was especially close to Angelo’s heart. He cared deeply for those in need and generously gave his time volunteering at the mission. Supporting its work is a meaningful way to honor his legacy of compassion, generosity, and service to others.

  9. I cannot express how deeply saddened I was when I learned of my beloved nephew Angelo’s passing. I was truly devastated when his sister, Rose, told me the heartbreaking news.

Although it is difficult for us to understand, I find comfort in believing that God called Angelo home because He had a place for him in His heavenly family. While our hearts ache with his absence, we trust that he is now surrounded by God’s eternal love and peace.

Until the day we are together again, may you rest in peace, Angelo. You will always hold a special place in our hearts, and your memory will live on in the love you shared with all of us. We will miss you deeply and look forward to the day when we are reunited in God’s loving embrace. To Susie and family our deepest condolences.

    With all our love,

    Uncle Joe

  10. Hard to express the loss of my beloved nephew, he was very special to me. Angelo had an unsurpassed gusto for life, kindhearted much like his mother. I shall miss him dearly, especially our Monday review of football Sunday’s. For the remainder of my days, he will hold a special place in my heart.

  11. candleCousin Angelo.- such a kind , generous loving soul whose family was his world. Heaven received a pure Angel. I’m blessed I got to see him and Cousin Suzy last year. My deepest condolences to all the Solomita’s.

  12. So sorry to hear about Angelo’s passing, my wife Rachel and I always remember him from Multiwire division. Rest in peace Angelo.

  13. Angelo was my boss on several occasions back in the early and mid 80s at Multiwire. What set him apart from most bosses was the fact that he actually cared about people and he genuinely wanted the best for all the people in his charge. On several occasions he went the extra distance to help me out when he didn’t have to. As the years went by I would often think about him and the kind soul that he was. My hope was to cross paths with him again at some point and thank him for being the awesome human being that he was. I am now deeply saddened that I will never have that opportunity.

  15. candleSue, please accept my deepest condolences. Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. May Angelo’s memory always be a blessing.

  16. candleHi Sue – I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your husband, Angelo. My thoughts are with you and your family during this incredibly difficult time. Wishing you comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.

  17. My deepest condolences to Susan and the entire family. Family was everything to Angelo. I volunteered with Angelo for about 8 years at Lighthouse outreaches. He was extremely devoted to the outreaches and took care of so many people who came to receive food and clothing. He knew most of the people by name and took care of them. It was an absolute pleasure working alongside of him. Then his family came in to help- Anthony, Antonio, Joe, Justin, Ethan, Maddie and Lily. It was obvious how much they loved him and respected him. My condolences to all of you- he will be sorely missed but I know that he is flying the angels now.
