Ann Rose DeSantis Michaels

ann desantis michaels

November 19, 1955 ~ December 30, 2022

Born in: Bronx, NY
Resided in: Cumming, Georgia

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Rose DeSantis Michaels on Friday,
December 30th , 2022 at the age of 67. She was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza
(Galgiano) Zingone and the beloved wife of the late Erasmo DeSantis and of the late Richard Michaels.
Ann and her late husband Richard relocated to Cumming, Georgia more than 20 years ago, after raising
their family in Holtsville, New York. Looking forward to the slower pace, Ann spent most days with her
grandsons Jack, and Connor until she became medically incapacitated.
Ann was a giving and generous woman despite the pain, great losses, and suffering she endured. Even
with her own crosses to bear, Ann always was checking in on her family and worrying about others. Ann
gave to others from her heart. She treated even random strangers, who eventually became friends with
kindness, generosity, and love.
Ann’s most treasured gifts were her grandchildren who she boasted about often. She loved showing
everyone their photos and was proud of their accomplishments.
Ann was the mother of the late AnneMarie DeSantis Hodge and is survived by her other three children
Salvatore (Lindsay) DeSantis, Cristina Kerrigan, and Anthony Michaels. She was a beamingly proud
grandmother of six to Jack, Michael, Connor, Abigail, Raymond, and Stella. She was also a cherished
Sister, Aunt, Godmother, Cousin, and Friend. One of four children, Ann is survived by her sister, Maria
Prestipino, her brother, Joseph Zingone, and predeceased by her brother Ralph Zingone.
Ann’s family and friends will remember her as a giver with a tremendous heart and love for her family.
She will be missed by the lives she touched.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We will always cherish our friendship with Ann. She was an amazing neighbor for over 10 years before we both moved and still stayed in touch. She raised an amazing family with her husband. Her kindness, caring and loving personality will never be forgotten. So sorry for her loss. She endured many challenges in her life and yet was always willing to help others. Rest in peace Ann… With Love, Linda, Matt and the “Walsh” family.

  2. Rest in peace grandma, you will be missed throughout all of your grandchildren. Even though we did not spend lots of time together, I know that you were one of my biggest supporters and were always cheering me on. Aunt Annemarie and Papa Richie will welcome you in with open arms. Love, Abby
