I worked for Tony from 1976-1977 he was detail oriented and always pushed for a quality product while working at Metco. We got together at metal coating events where I live in Houston and always had lots of laughs. Tony will really be missed.
My deepest sympathy to the Rotolico family. R.I.P. Tony. Prayers offered for the repose of Tony’s soul. I worked for Metco from Jan, 1975 until July, 2001, so I knew Tony for many years. Met him early on during my tenure, and actually reported to him for a while when he was active in certain targeted marketing programs. He was a task master, but I learned to appreciate that later because it generated my growth in the business. May eternal light shine upon him.
I met Tony when I joined Metco in 1975. He was a valuable source of information for me. Always ready to help. My 20-year career at Metco is the best part of my life, due to colleagues like Tony. RIP Tony.
Tony, You were a great boss to me and Theresa. We knew you for over 30 years watching your children and Grandchildren grow up to be fine adults. We enjoyed our dinner dates and gaming adventures with you and Maria. Eternal Rest unto you and let the Perpetual Light always shine upon you. R.I.P
I had the distinct pleasure of knowing Tony at General Plasma/Engelhard Surface Technologies. Tony was my Mentor, Friend and Boss all rolled into one outstanding person. I will always smile when I think of Tony. Rest In Peace my Friend.Pete
Marie, so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. He was a wonderful man and I enjoyed our talks in the morning at the chickee. We will miss his beautiful smile. Anne and Peter
Marie and family,it was a pleasure knowing Tony in Aruba, always a gentleman,a gentle soul and always looked out for me in the early am for the chickie duty, you will be missed my friend, RIP never to be forgotten.TO MY FAMILYTo my dearest family, some things I’d like to say…but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.I’m writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there’s no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight.Remember that I’m with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,God picked me up and hugged me and He said, ‘I welcome you.’It’s good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.As for your dearest family, they’ll be here later on.I need you here badly; you’re part of my plan. There’s so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.’God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do.And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.And when you lie in bed at night, the day’s chores put to flight.God and I are closest to you…. in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving yearsbecause you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o’er.I’m closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.It was always my philosophy and I’d like it for you too…that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.If you can help somebody who’s in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night……’My day was not in vain.’And now I am contented…. that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.When you’re walking down the street, and you’ve got me on your mind;I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it’s time for you to go…. from that body to be free, remember you’re not going…..you’re coming here to me. Worked with Tony for many years at Metco….all good memories. It was a pleasure to work with him. Our condolences to Maria and the family. May he rest in eternal peace.
To Maria and family,Wally and I were so sad to hear of Tony’s passing, and we send you our love and prayers. We will forever remember the welcoming greeting he always extended to us when we arrived at Playa Linda with his smile and hug. He will be missed. Wally and Jean Young
Tony was instrumental in giving me and my wife the opportunity to relocate to the US, from Brazil, back in 1989 when I joined Metco. This opportunity has changed our lives for the better and allowed our son to grow up and attend excellent schools. We will always be grateful for the opportunity and will miss Tony.
I will miss Tony as I would a member of my family. The 20 years I worked with him at Metco and the 7 years at Engelhard continues to be an inspiration and an influence my life. REST IN PEACE dear friend. I am sure Maria and his family will have fond memories of their life together with him.
‘Be not afraid, I go before you always.Come, follow me, and I shall give you rest.’Though it is sad to lose a loved one, we can find comfort knowing, this World is not our ‘home’. It is a temporary dwelling place, until we are called Home to The Glorious Kingdom of Heaven to live All Eternity with God The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Tony, and Family though your Husband, Father, Grandfather, GreatGrandfather, Brother, Friend is no longer here in the physical form, he did not pass. He is simply away, until you are once again united in God’s Holy Kingdom. I hope this brings you peace. Blessings to you All.
Sorry for your loss Maria, in time the wonderful memories that you have of your life together will help soften the ache you and your family are feeling at this time. RIP Tony

So sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. My sincere condolences. Knowinghim for about 25 years, I can tell you that he had a great heart, anda beautiful spirit. God bless.
Tony was the ‘sparkplug’ engineer at Metco during his time there. He made it happen. He combined intelligence and creativity in a way that made him the go to guy for getting products out the door. During his day, America was the go to country in the world. The days when America kept its technology lead intact, but globalized in an intelligent way to share our technology with our fellow Metcolites who built parallel operations around the world. Those were the days. For those who were there, I need not explain. Tony represented in many ways the versatility, the ability, and the excellence of Metco, the fountainhead of thermal spray technology. A personality never to be forgotten by those that knew him. In my opinion, in the areas of his expertise, he was the most effective Metcolite of all. What a presence…
We are so sorry to hear of your father’s passing, Maria. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. R.I.P. Anthony Rotolico.
I was sorry to hear of Tony’s passing. I worked for and with him for many years both at Metco and Eutectic corporation. Tony was a hard driving but fair task master as well as being an excellent design engineer. He made important contributions to the thermal spray industry. RIP
I worked with Tony for many years at Metco. Without a doubt he was one of the best. I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have worked with him. Rest in peace and our condolences to his family.
