Born in: Bronx, NY
Resided in: Nissequogue, NY

We sadly announce the passing of Antoinette Zannella (Ann) on February 1, 2024, at the age of 77. She was a devoted wife to Daniel Zannella, and loving mother to her three daughters – Tina Michell, Stefanie Zannella (Mike), and Lisa Lam (Tung). She was affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren Isabella and Jake. Ann was a beloved daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and to many a good friend.

Born in the Bronx in 1946, Ann was brought up with traditional Italian values, like the importance of keeping family and friendships cherished. She excelled in school and landed a job at the financial firm J.P. McGuire in Manhattan, where she was appointed Executive Secretary at a young age. From there, she moved to Long Island to raise her family. As her children grew and became more independent, she resumed professional endeavors and partnered with her sisters-in-law in entrepreneurship, and thereafter pursued creative talents in the party industry.

But what made Ann truly special was her investment in her relationships with family and friends. She loved to host Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings, especially Christmas celebrations. With her sense of humor and desire to feed everyone, there was always room for one more at her table. Her warmth extended beyond her loved ones. Her generosity, empathy, and compassion touched the lives of many with whom she had a brief encounter. It was hard not to form a connection with her.

We are proud to have had such a wonderful person in our lives. Ann made each of us better and stronger human beings. Her loving ways will never be forgotten. She truly was an angel and a gift to us all.
