COHEN - Artesia 'Tess', age 76, of Smithtown, NY, passed peacefully on February 19, 2018. Beloved wife of Harvey. Loving mother of Joy (Joe) Batista, Alyssa (Frank) Pomarico and Jonathan (Roxanne) Cohen. Adored nana of Gabrielle, Amanda, Noelle, Olivia, Jacob, Aaron & Joshua. She will be forever missed & will always be in our hearts. Reposing at Branch Funeral Home, 190 E. Main St., Smithtown, NY, 11787. Visitation Thursday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30am at St. Patrick's R.C. Church. Entombment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

The World is a much sadder place today. We have lost a marvelous person named ‘Tess.’ From the first day we met (27 yrs ago) I knew what a special woman she was, and how lucky anyone was who could call her a ‘Friend.’ I will miss Tess, terribly, and I pray for Harvey’s strength as well as her wonderful, cherished children and Grandchildren. What a tremendous loss. My prayers and sincere sympathy go with you all.
It is with intense sadness that Richard and I learned of Tess passing. I have wonderful memories of our birthday dinner celebrations throughout the years with the Sbarro girls. Tess spoke lovingly of her wonderful Harvey and glowingly of her children and grandchildren. She was a very special lady in the truest sense of the word.

Our Sbarro ladies are dwindling, moving on, Tess is such an endearing, charming, genuine lovely woman and will be missed always.
