In Loving Memory of Barbara L. Smith
With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Barbara L. Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was the devoted wife of Robert C. Smith for 57 wonderful years and the cherished mother of Carolyn (Phil) Delzatto and Laurie (Daniel) Jarrett. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Julianne (Ryan) Martinez, Caitlyn (Paul) Albano, Olivia and Christian Delzatto, and Brittany, Aidan, and Luke Jarrett, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.
She dedicated more than 20 years as the Manager of the Bridal Department at the Wedding Center, where she helped countless brides find the perfect gown and guided families through one of life’s most special occasions. Her keen eye for style, matter of fact personality, and commitment to making every bride feel beautiful left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Above all, she was devoted to her family. She took great pride in creating a warm and happy home, filling it with laughter, love, and unforgettable traditions. She expressed her love through countless gourmet meals, family gatherings, and cherished summer days spent by the pool enjoying cocktails, baked clams, and her famous summer pasta. Her greatest happiness came from bringing people together and creating memories that will live on for generations.
She loved cooking, reading, fashion, jewelry, makeup, and all things beautiful. Always impeccably dressed, with her hair perfectly styled and makeup flawlessly applied, she carried herself with elegance, confidence, and grace. She was quick-witted, funny, generous and a natural leader—a take-charge woman who remained strong and spirited until the very end.
Her kindness, generosity, strength, and love touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the enduring love she shared so freely.
She will remain forever in our hearts.
