Bette Henkin

Bette Henkin, age 91, of Sound Beach, NY died Thursday, June 5, 2014. Born September 3, 1922 in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Boyd and the late Bessie Allen. She served in the Navy during World War II from 10/04/1943 to 09/28/1945. She was employed by Doubleday, Garden City, NY, in Sales. She is survived by cherished sons: Frank Henkin of Sound Beach, NY, and David Henkin of MD. She was predeceased by her beloved Husband, Martin Henkin, and Daughter, Karen Lackow. A graveside service will be held 11:00am on Sunday, June 8 at Montefiore Cemetery, Springfield Blvd., St. Albins, NY.
