Guestbook

  1. Sean & Family,It is said that when we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that your Dad is now your angel- who will watch over you and your family now and always. Again, we extend our most sincere condolences to you and your family.

  2. My heart is breaking for those closest to my dear Uncle Billy. I will forever be inspired by the love that he & Aunt Patsy shared. To be in their presence was to experience the kind of marriage we all dream of and hope for. I am beyond saddened that I cannot be there but please, please know that my heart and prayers are with the Rivers family & I love you with all my heart.

  3. We are so sorry for your loss pat Eileen Coleen Sean and Brian. I wish we could be there to say in person what we want to say but we are away. We know we will see you soon just remember that we are praying for bill and I know he is with my dad. Love you Joey and Allison

  4. I know there are no words to ease the grief. Billy was larger than life and yet so down to earth. I will miss him so much even though we weren’t in each other’s active lives any longer. I take great comfort in knowing I will see him again. I pray the Lord will give you all strength and peace. May you remember every single wonderful moment with him and live the way he did. God bless you all.

  5. Colleen and family…we are very sorry for the passing of your father. I know how close you are to him. I remember you telling me stories about him and you always had a big smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Love you

  6. Pat, Colleen, Eileen, Sean, and Brian,There are no words that can express the sorrow for the loss of our beloved Billy. Bill’s impact on us has left an impression that we doubt will be matched by few. His friendship lit up our lives just as his presence lit up a room. Though we have a void caused by his passing we have memories of him and the good times we shared that fill our hearts. We cherish the time we had with him and will keep him forever close. May he Rest in Eternal Peace. Love Dom & Patty

  7. Bill was a great friend and basketball referee partner. His sense of humor and humanity were unmatched. My prayers are with you.Jim White 503 High StreetPort Jefferson, NY 11777

  8. I knew Bill for many years as a fellow basketball referee. He loved officiating and was one of our most supportive members. What I will miss the most is trading jokes back and forth with Bill. He was such a character ! Simply put —-a great guy. My condolences to the entire Rivers family.

  9. I was at the 12 o’clock Mass and didn’t hear your name announced to ‘Pray for the Sick’. I then saw Fr. Hug your wife and I knew you were gone. All I could think about was how nice a man and family you had. What a wonderful coach you were to my daughter Judith. I will always remember your kindness and smile. Rest in peace Bill…
