Il Maestro is very proud to pay tribute to a truly deserving and dedicars mas ber, on edit y24, 1930 to Mario and Geraldine Faisella Pepe. Their name was later changed to Pape. He was raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, and lived in the upstairs apartment of his grandfather’s two family home. Attending local schools, Bud graduated from Lagay months Ster graduating, Bud enlisted in the US Marine Corps Reserve and was sent to Parris Island, South Carolina for his Recruit Training. He was transferred to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and finally to Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. After being released in August 1949, he took courses at an evening college. Three months after the start of the Korean War, in June of 1950, he was recalled to active duty. Bud spent the next 18 months at Camp Lejeune in a tank battalion and was finally released in May of 1952. Bud then attended St. John University in the evening. He married Patricia Alvino on September 6, 1952 at St. Fortunata RC Church in Brooklyn.

Corps flag at the July 1965. Bud graduated from St. John University in January 1957 with 11, 2012 lodge meeting. a BBA Degree in Accounting and a minor in Economics.
While working for a CPA firm, Bud attended New York University Graduate School of Business and graduated in 1961 with a MBA In Accounting and Management. After 3 years with CPA firms, Bud became employed by various corporations with his last tenure being as the Vice President of Finance, Shorewood Packaging Corporation, now part of International Paper Corporation.
Bud retired in 1995, and traveled extensively with Pat to Italy – three times, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Alaska, Canada, and Bermuda. Now that they no longer travel, Bud and Pat are enjoying their children, and three grandchildren very much.
Since our lodge did not file their IRS 990 form from 2008 to 2010, we lost our tax exempt status on May 15,
2011. To help regain our status, Bud has worked tirelessly to obtain all the necessary and the proper information, including paying a fine, and filing the IRS 1024 form.
At the May 9 meeting, President Joe Tursi presented Bud with a : Certificate of Appreciation” and a bottle of Asti Spumante on behalf of all the members of the lodge. Many Congratulations, Brother Bud!!!
