Carl’s love of country and loyalty to the American way of life were made evident as he recited, from memory, the symbolic meaning of the United States flag at the Elks annual Flag Day ceremony. He used voice, body language, and emotion to convey the history of our flag and the need for brotherly love. Rest in peace, Carl.

Dear Marianne, Elizabeth and Kim,
I kept in touch with your parents after my Mom died in 2008, and we spoke on the phone throughout the last years. Your Mom was so sweet and funny! I loved our conversations. I will miss them both. Thank you for your all the facebook pictures- please feel free to follow me and my kids. I’m not a big poster, but my son Matt posts a few things once in a while. My sincere condolences to your families.
