carlo angelini

February 25, 1957 ~ September 30, 2026

Born in: Rome , Italy
Resided in: Nesconset , New York

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carlo Angelini, on September 30 2026, at the age of 69. Born in Roma, Italy, on February 25, 1957, the middle child of three sons born to Rosa (Quadrini) and Rodolfo Angelini, Carlo completed schooling and served briefly in the Italian army before immigrating to America at 21 years of age. He continued the next chapter of his life in Albany, NY, working in construction and becoming very close with the extended Quadrini family on his mother’s side, taking so much joy and wisdom from those relationships that he carried with him all throughout his life. It was there that Carlo met Anna, his future wife, for whom he fell head-over-heels and relocated to Smithtown, NY to build a life with her, father two sons with her, and become a beloved member of her extended family on Long Island, where he would live for the remainder of his life.

Carlo worked in the pizza business in Queens, NY, for many years before returning to the Valeri family trucking business out of Bohemia, NY, where he would go on to master delivering specialty stone slabs for the remainder of his career. He always had a fascination with geology, and this shone through when he would talk excitedly about the rare, exotic stones that he delivered all over the east coast of the United States. His intellectual curiosity imbued even the most seemingly routine aspects of everyday life. Always the selfless hard-worker, he eventually retired from his career to care for his wife, Anna, in her final years. He was devastated by her passing, as we all are by his. He continued to honor her memory, leaping head-first into the “snowbird” life they had built at the condo in Florida, which she loved. He found new joy in making precious memories there with family and friends, where the sunshine and warm weather truly invigorated his spirits.

Carlo was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend. He selflessly sacrificed for the betterment of the family, and for the good of all. His effortlessly funny, sweet, and gentle spirit touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Carlo was surely welcomed into the kingdom of heaven to be reunited with Anna, with whom he shared 44 wonderful years of marriage, and with Anthony, his dear cousin, both of whom went to the Lord in the past year.

Carlo is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Paul and Mark Angelini; his dear daughter-in-law, Kimberly; his dear soon-to-be daughter-in-law, whom he affectionately called Bella; his six grandchildren — Benedetto, Teresa, Emilio, Dominic, Julia, and Jack — who brought him so many moments of joy. Carlo’s memory is treasured by his two nephews, Piero and Fabio Angelini, and by the entire extended Quadrini & Pietrosanto families. He is also lovingly remembered by his Valeri family brothers, Antonio and Franco, and their families, and the Arpino and Rusy families, all of whom held a special place in his heart. He touched the lives of his entire extended family, including many cherished cousins, both near and far.

His warmth, his sense of humor, his peaceful essence, and his unwavering devotion to family will forever remain in our hearts.

Guestbook

  1. Carlo, Anna

Many good memories eating breakfast together at Loudon Road and Carlo taking a morning swim. Both dear people, difficult to say “good bye”!

    Quadrinis’

  2. Marc, we were so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. Hope you, Kim, and the kids are finding some solace during this time. Thinking of you guys. – Merri (Cesa) and Jon Liberatore

  3. We first met Carlo and Anna at Mark and Kim’s graduation from Stonehill, not knowing a few years later they would become family. At the first meeting Kathy and I both felt an instant connection, and these years later we are saddened by the loss of them. We shared many laughs when they visited, with Carlo always commenting how much he loved this area of New England. When we all travelled to Italy, Carlo and I knew that Mark was going to propose actually everyone knew except Kim. We arrived at Tivoli Gardens and walked around with the ring in Mark’s pocket, finally he made the proposal, the picture I attached on the timeline was taken shortly after that. I will miss talking to Carlo about Italy and the food and wine and Anna’s loving touch with Julia and Jack. Rest easy my amici e famiglia, until we meet again.

  4. candleAnna and heaven are welcoming a most gentle and kind soul. I remember Anna coming home from Schenectady the weekend after she first met Carlo and saying she had met the man she was going to marry. He was a kind and loving man who worked hard and could always make Anna smile. He loved the beach almost as much as Anna and I remember her writing to me many times that they had gone out to Montauk for dinner and to watch the sunset. But most of all he had a deep sense of commitment to Anna ,Paul and Mark who are a tribute to the very best of them both. I wish them and all in both families peace and comfort at this time.
    With love always, Roseann

  5. candleCarlo loved to go out to eat with friends and family. He also enjoyed hosting gatherings of the clan at home. He was a true road warrior as driving long distances never was a deterrent to seeing friend or family as well. Gentle and kind Carlo was a great father grandfather and friend. We will always remember him and send our condolences to Paul and Mark and family.
