Connie Lopipero of Ridgewood, Queens passed away on October 3, 2019 at the age of 102 years old. Loving wife of the late Vincent Lopipero. Adored mother of the late Angelo Lopipero (Nancy and the late Sherry) and daughters Joan Fasano (the late Anthony) and Diane Madonia (Bruce). Beloved grandmother to her eight grandchildren Donna Derdiarian (Mark), the late Vincent Lopipero (June), Darlene Lopipero-Farrell, Craig Fasano (Andrea), Randy Fasano, Alan Fasano (Christine), Eric Madonia (Christine), and Christopher Madonia. Connie was cherished by her sixteen great grandchildren. Connie was born on February 22, 1917, in Manhattan New York to Italian immigrants Gaetano and Giacomina Taccetta and was the youngest sister to twin siblings Phillip and Anna (1915). As a young girl, Connie spent summers on Staten Island with her family. She was a talented seamstress who worked in the garment industry for Joseph Love, Inc., the largest manufacturer of young girls clothing in the world at the time. She married Vincent Lopipero in 1937. They bought a home in Ridgewood Queens and had three children; Angelo, Joan and Diane. Throughout those years, Connie worked for Avon Inc distributing makeup to her friends and neighbors. Later on, Connie and her husband owned and operated Sun Valley Fuel Oil Company in Queens, NY and she was also employed by Bankers Trust on Wall Street until her retirement. After retirement, Connie enjoyed her time in Florida with her sister and always loved cooking for her family. Connie was full of life, beauty and will always be an inspiration for all. Connie enjoyed her life to the fullest. She shared many great memories of the past and looked forward to future. We have all been blessed with the presence of Connie in our lives. She was a special Mother, Grandmother and friend to all that knew her. We will cherish her memory always.
