Daniel J. Sofia, age 66, of Rocky Point, NY died Tuesday, August 4, 2015. Born November 4, 1948, he was the son of the late John and the late Virginia (Giglio) Sofia. He was Self Employed in Rocky Point, NY in floor coverings. He is survived by his loving son: Daniel M. Sofia, sister: Donna DeSantis of Baldwin, NY and brother: John Sofia of Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Saturday, August 8 at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, 614 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY with Monsignor William G. Breslawski officiating. Calling hours will be Friday, August 7 from 2-4 & 7-9:30pm PM at Rocky Point Funeral Home, 603 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY. A private cremation was arranged by family.
